Born in Tokyo in 1969, she had measurements of 158cm, B88 W59 H89. She debuted in 1987 under the name Hiromi Namikaze and soon changed her stage name to Midori Hayama. She became popular for her idol-like appearance and voluptuous figure, and was also active as a member of the unit "RaCCo-gumi." Her career was interrupted by a traffic accident, and she made a brief comeback in 1993 under the name Harumi Hidaka before retiring.

A graduate of the Japan Institute of Photography and Film, he is known for his bold yet delicate approach to photography and has consistently pursued forward-looking expressions. He has worked extensively on gravure features and photobooks for major publishers such as Kodansha, Shogakukan, Tokuma Shoten, KK Bestsellers, Wani Books, and Saibunkan Publishing. He photographed the first photobooks of well-known talents including Yuko Ogura, Chinatsu Wakatsuki, and Haruka Ayase, and has been highly recognized for his talent in discovering new faces.
